What's Involved In My Showreel?
There are two types of showreel you can have. The first is where you supply footage from previous tv work, and that's edited into a showreel for you. Unfortunately we don't provide this service at Drumbox Training.
The second type is where everything is filmed entirely from scratch, and this is what we do. With Drumbox Training no two showreels are the same since we tailor each one individually to suit you. So here's a typical example of what we do for your showreel;
We meet with you before you commit to anything so that we can find out more about you, what your tv aspirations are, and how we can help you achieve them. If you're happy with us after this, then we'll agree a schedule and start working to create an excellent showreel tailored specifically to you.
We give you a coaching session before we do any filming to teach you how to relax, how to work to camera, and to help you iron out some of the most common newcomer faults. This also helps us target specific areas for you to practice based on what comes out of the session, and to make informed suggestions for the showreel itself.
We write unique scripts for you, and plan all the loctions including some green-screen if required. Since the character piece needs to come from your own passions, we help you to refine it ready for filming.
We film three pieces with you using state-of-the-art hi-definition equipment; these pieces are "solo", "interactive" and "character".
We edit the three pieces and use them to create a fourth piece, which is a short montage to go at the start of your DVD.
We produce five great-looking, high-quality DVDs, complete with full menus.
Throughout the process we give you personal care and attention to ensure that your showreel demonstrates your abilities to the best advantage.
