Introductory Course
The Introductory Course is an excellent opportunity to get a real taste of what being a presenter is about and hopefully inspire you to follow the career path into this hugely rewarding industry. We know that the best training you can get as a presenter is practical training and there will be no shortage on this one day course. Regardless of experience we break down each element of the course to help you finish the day enthused and ready to take your next step as a presenter.
Subjects covered on the Introductory Course include; introduction to stage craft, presenting to camera, interview techniques, present different formats, agents - do you need one, what they do and how to get one. You'll also have the chance to do some filming throughout the day to help develop your show reel.
The course is held in a conference hotel and includes a light lunch and refreshments. The price is £120 per person. A showreel editing service is not included.
Intensive Course
The Intensive Course covers a wider range of subjects than the Introductory Course, and each one in greater depth. Over three days we take you through the requirements of a good television presenter, vocal and physical communication, stage presence, working as a solo presenter, with a co-host and with a crowd, getting the most out of guests, working in different television genres, using autocue and coping with voices from the gallery in your ear! You'll be working both in groups and on your own, and by the end of the course you'll have a polished piece of work on film to add to your showreel.
Plus, exclusive to Drumbox Training, every course has key learning points from legendary broadcaster David 'Kid' Jensen, who shares his knowledge from forty years experience on television and radio around the world. And Anthony Blackburn, director of leading artist representation agency Blackburn Sachs Associates, gives his insight into what producers and directors look for, and how to go about breaking into the industry.
Our aim over three days is to give you the knowledge, experience and confidence to enter the world of television and be a success.
The course is residential, held over three days in a conference hotel. The price is £750 per person which includes meals. A showreel editing service is not included.
