Introduction To Presenter Training

At Drumbox Training our passion is working with people at all levels of experience, to help develop the essential skills necessary for a successful career as a television presenter. We work with complete novices and those already working in television, and we train large groups and individuals. In short, we can train you for pretty much anything you need in just about any way you want!

Our primary method of training is through our Introductory and Intensive Courses; if you're completely new to the world of television presenting this would be a great place to start! The Introductory Course takes place on one-day, and it's designed to give you an overview of what this exciting industry is all about. There are practical sessions to try your hand at and plenty of honest, unbiased feedback so that you know how you're doing. This course will help you decide if television is really for you.

The Intensive Course is for people who've already decided that television is for them, and are looking for some in-depth training to give them the kick-start towards their dream career. This is a three-day residential course during which time we'll go from first princials of how to walk and talk in front of a camera right through to the thought processes and workflows necessary to set yourself apart from the competition. Amongst the areas covered are interview technique, working with scripts, co-hosting, autocue, and different genre's, plus loads of practical sessions and camera-time. Built into the course is time to put together a professional scene which you'll film in high definition to take away for inclusion in a showreel. We also feature input and advice from leading television and radio presenters, and artist agents, to arm you with much of the necessary information to help you break into the exciting and dynamic world of television presenting.
